There are even BETTER pistons for them . They are the ABOVE 8500 Ft. high alt. pistons . They work really well down at much lower Alt. Just don't try this with and LP head.
 
M&W advertised between 57 and 58 belt horsepower in a 4-1/8 450. Don't know the conditions of there check. IH stated that the standard elevation fire craters for a 450 made 60 horsepower at the flywheel in testing corrected to sea level. Said to normally expect 54 to 55 at the PTO. Results may very.
 
ther are different domed piston on the market probably the RED POWER ones have the highest dome. Question is how you can see them you can get them from ABELINE i get mine there located in Iowa i think they get them from Howard Enterprise who is one of the largest suppliers of engine kits.
