finally got f-12 running but only runs with choke on cleaned carb. any idea's

I agree, Make sure the gas is getting there. Also, these carbs are very finicky. When they are right, they run good. All others situations, they will drive you nuts. Worst part about the design is that the heat from the engine usually boils the fuel bowl dry when you shut them down for the day. Makes first start a wee bit of a challenge. Some of these old girls do that. some don't. your's will have it's own personality after the get it right.

I gotta ask this, you do know the choke works opposite on these tractors than the normal "Farmall" configuration? Pushing the rod in is choking.
