I have pull the engine out of a Farmall Cub, so do I take the steering wheel shaft out by front end or do I keep the shaft in and pull the whole thing off the transmission housing. It seems like you can just unscrew the worm in the front.

I just take the bolt next to the steering wheel take the 4 bolts out the hold the front end to the engine and a block of wood behind the bellhousing undo the bottom radatior hose and push the front end out then you take engine host and pick the engine out

You just remove the bolt holding the steering wheel and shaft then remove the two cap screws on the steering sector and unscrew the shaft. Just done it two days ago split the tractor to work on clutch assy. We supported the whole front end with a cherry picker.
