Beautiful, you lucky dog. We use to shoot empty half pint milk cartons for target practice off the fantail on a navy destroyer out at sea with those. That was back in the late 50's It's a nail driver once you get it dialed in with that peep sight. That has to be in the top 10 ultimate Christmas gifts. Awesome weapon, and the fact that it's an IH product makes it even more.

Best regards and Merry Christmas.

Did They mnfg guns during WW2?

Thanks and Merry Christmas

Yes. International Harvester did make those rifles for Uncle Sam during WW2.

International didn't make them during WW2, they started production in 1953. The guns were made at the Evansville Indiana plant. If anyone is interested I have one I would sell.

Springfield Armory and Winchester Repeating Arms built the M-1 Garands during WW2. International Harvester got its contract in 1951 and delivered the first rifles in 1953 and ceased production in 1956.Harrington&Ritchardson Arms got their concract in 1952 and delivered its first rifles in 1953 and also ceased production in 1956.
