KB-6 For Sale on CL

Weird. It was there when I posted it. He must have been on this site and kept quiet?

Well, I went back and looked for the other one and he must have delted it. It was a red KB with a flatbed that was backed into a garage in town. The flatbed portion of the truck barely cleared the door and there was no way the whole truck would fit.

I think a KB is the next thing I "need" From the looks of them you are WAY better off to buy one fixed up then buy a fixerupper. I just need to get a handle on what they cost and what they cost to fix so I have been looking at them all over the place. That is one down in Louisville that is "make offer" but it runs and kind of drives. It has junk tires and a crappy clutch, but will move under it's own power. Sadly, that is better than most.

Back in the '50s and '60s there were bunches of those KBs around. I think everyone of them had either a John Deere or Minneapolis-Moline corn sheller mounted on it.

When you find a good survivor let me know. I'm not opposed to driving over there for a runner and driver.

i saw the ad before it was sold, it was a really nice truck. the owner had a tpoic about it on the red power board, thats where i saw it

I knew I saw the picture somewhere. It was a really nice truck. When he posted to topic he seemed really into it. Oh well. IIRC it was $1200. So that is a good price for a truck like that?

Here is his RPM post on the truck. Now you have me disappointed that I fanned on it. I have to be a little careful. I just bought a welder last week and my wife is still a little jumpy. But we NEEDED it.

That was the case with the '46 KBS-6 my brother and I bought earlier this year - back when Uncle Clarence was using it, there was a M-M sheller on it. Unfortunately, the local farmer who bought it from Clarence took the sheller off and scrapped it. Gonna start working on rebuilding the truck next year. Anybody know of a M-M sheller sitting in a barn somewhere?

(quoted from post at 13:20:49 12/25/13) I know of an on one in Cambridge.

Do you know what model? From what I've heard the Kiesel truck had a 1200 on it - I'm trying to conform that.

If was an older sheller it could have been a Model E.

Don't know if they have classifieds over there, but if you're looking for a truck you might get some leads over at oldihc.org

No idea, it was a Minnie and that's all I know.
