is the farmall cub pitman nut right handed thread or left handed thread?

how do i search archived messages, etc?

I can't say for certain but it runs in my mind that it is left hand. The large pulley on the back end that runs from the pto is definitely left hand.

nut is damaged from someone trying to remove it, prior to me buying it. cannot get a wrench to hold, so i cannot test it.

In addition, it is some kindof proprietary thread pitch. I took mine to a good ag machine shop hoping to buy a replacement. They said they could make me one, but it would be REEEEAAAAL spendy.

I don't believe they are available new.

There is a chance I might have one. I know I have some NOS cub mower parts. I think I have a pitman flywheel and it likely has the nut on there. I'll check tomorrow. May be a while as I'm gone tomorrow.
