Recently bought a 140 and want to change the engine oil. Evidently someone has really over tightened the drain plug. It is the later large plug with hex head. I have put considerable force on it with a breaker bar with no results. I'm afraid any more pressure will break the threaded fitting off in the oil pan. Two questions:
1) can I safely heat the fitting with a torch with the oil in the pan to try to free the plug?
2) if I do break it off, can the oil pan be removed on the 140 without having to remove the front end. Will the cultivator bracket allow the pan to drop enough to come off? Looks pretty tight clearance.
