Super A/140 oil pan removal

Recently bought a 140 and want to change the engine oil. Evidently someone has really over tightened the drain plug. It is the later large plug with hex head. I have put considerable force on it with a breaker bar with no results. I'm afraid any more pressure will break the threaded fitting off in the oil pan. Two questions:
1) can I safely heat the fitting with a torch with the oil in the pan to try to free the plug?
2) if I do break it off, can the oil pan be removed on the 140 without having to remove the front end. Will the cultivator bracket allow the pan to drop enough to come off? Looks pretty tight clearance.

put a impact wrench on it if the fitting breaks loose it can just be welded right on the 140 the pan will not have to come off

I have welded good 3/4 to 1 inch nuts on them so I could get a bigger wrench on it and have more to grip. Worked great!

It has a good 1 1/8 hex head used on the later model engines so griping it is not a problem with a 6 point socket and breaker bar. I wonder if an impact wrench would be harder or easier on the oil pan fitting than a hard pull on the breaker bar?!

Yeah, you can pull the oil pan without dropping the front end. You just have to remove the cover at the other end by the clutch (two bolts, nothing big). I"ve done it before on my A"s. Good luck.
