350 farmall with continental diesel

The injection pump and the drive are both locked up
in this tractor. How does the drive come out of the
block? I dont have a book. Kind of hard to get out
when the drive is locked up. There are some notches
and one of the notches seems like it has a pin in it
but there is no way to get the pin out. Does it need
to be drilled out?

With the pump removed use the slot to turn the drive shaft up out of the bushing, don't remember which way, but it will come out. The bushing is eccentric, and block pin holds it adjusted, turn it one way or another to set the drive shaft backlash. The bushing should lift out easy too. Replace the O ring under the bushing or you may have oil leaking also when it's back together.

I cant advise on your current problem...But you NEED/must have a book! That will be too 'complicated' to just wing it.Once its apart then you need to put it all back together....Get a book right here from YT.Or get a 'factory' service manual from Binder Books

What do you mean the drive and injector pump are locked up. The injector pump drive gear comes directly off the camshaft. Doesn't the engine turn and if it doesn't how do you know the drive is locked up causing the problem? The pin is so you can adjust the gear backlash with the eccentric so there should be almost no backlash in the drive. As DeltaRed said, you need a manual as that is not a simple system. Roger
