Saginaw lift capacity

Hey boys, I was wondering if anyone knew the lift capacity of the Saginaw hitch running on a belly pump? I have heard people pick up large round bails with it. I'm looking into a rear blade in the 350-500lbs range and just want to make sure it can lift it. Will it lift more than 500lbs? Thanks, Anthony

In general with 3 point hitches they should be able to lift quite a bit more than that. The further from the ends of the lift arms the weight is the "heavier" it is, if that makes sense, it is about leverage. If your belly pump is working at all 500# should be an easy lift.

Those hitches are stout. 500lbs would be nothing for one. Guys use them daily for 1200-1500lb round bales around here. I would not doubt the hitch could handle up to 2000lbs.

I have a Farmall M w/belly pump and a Saginaw hitch. I use it to power my Land Pride 3-pt hitch 90" grooming mower. The mower weighs 1,100 pounds. The Saginaw and belly pump lift the deck easily.

That hitch will lift the whole derned tractor if ya ask 'er to. :>)

How do you keep the front end on the ground? I had one on a Super M with wide front and could not keep the front end on the ground without adding weight with 1200# bales.

Ellis, that seat looks comfortable. What kind is it and where can they be found? Difficult to mount? Thanks, JD
