Hello everyone...I just bought a farmall h and the serial # number plate is unreadable. I have the block casting # ..can anyone tell me what year tractor I have? FBH 138569. Anyhelp you could give me would be much appreciated!

There ought to be a small raised boss a few inches under the No. 1 spark plug, the most forward plug. Ought to have the same serial number stamped onto that boss.

It is the original engine so it sets my mind at ease knowing what year it is. Hope everyone had a great thanksging. Im new to the forum so I hope to be posting more as the winter project goes on

If the engine is original to the rest of the tractor. Engine number is the same as the tractor serial number. That makes it a 1943 model.
