Removing Hydraulic Pump from F-20

I am trying to remove the hydraulic H/M pump from a F-20 and the pump is wedged in too tight against the clutch housing.

Do I have to slide the engine forward or is there another trick?

I have no idea. Is it a field IH install or a farmer make-fit? Dirt and rust will wedge pretty tight. Maybe you just need a bigger crowbar? Watch it don't land on your feet when it drops out.

Dean, Yes you willneed to pull engine bolts and slide forward. When mounted there is only 3/4" between hydraulic pump and bellhousing.

I had mine out while I had the clutch apart, so I can't say for sure, the clutch cover will just come out, then no problem to drop the hydraulic pump, but I haven't tried to remove it otherwise.
