400 Power Steering

I am attempting to install a Char-Lynn power steering motor on a 400. I have the 701 motor bracket that bolts to the fuel tank mount, but after installing the steering motor, the angle of the motor is too steep to match the front steering shaft even with the flex coupler (misaligned by 2-3 inches vertically). Photos of the 701 bracket on the Bates website appear to show that it is bent whereas mine is straight. Can anyone confirm this? Also if the 701 bracket is bent, how does the small throttle shaft bracket bolt to the backside of the bent bracket? It looks like the bend in the 701 bracket would prevent the small bracket from bolting flush. Thanks.

Looked at a original char lynn 701 bracket. My memory was off. The throttle bracket won't be completely flat to the steering bracket. Measured 13 degrees difference between support mount angle and steering unit mounting angle vertical. Didn't check the small angle pointing the unit to the right side of center.
