756 won't shut off

My neighbor has a 756D he bought last spring. It won't shut off. He has done linkage adjustments with little effect. I am not a familiar with this tractor. Is there some simple checks or fixes or are we looking at a pump overhaul. Thanks, Paul

Lower lever must be pulled back and push start position plunger into spring loaded screw assembly for shutdown. When lever just touches the stop is correct engine start position for excess fuel, then full forward against front screw for run position. Adjust or replace cable as needed so operator can get all three locations.

You're welcome! Would also suggest keeping good filter service, and no water in fuel. That will keep the Bosch VA running long. Can still get parts to reseal them, but most hard parts are no longer around.
