1420 combine engine

1420 combine stud bolt broke on injector pump. Does anyone have the timing specs for this engine. Its the 358 ih motor with bosch pump. never seen studs break any clue why?
 
Over tightening or a flaw in the material. Are causes that happen regularly, (the reason for torquing lug nuts at the tire store) Jim
 
OMG i just went through this last fall when someone else took off the injector pump and got the moter out of time...the pump can be removed without disturbing the timing gear ...it will wobble around inside the front cover but will not come out of mesh with the other gears ...take the rectangle cover off the front timing cover and DO NOT remove the 3 bolts from the hub this determines timing of the pump to the moter ... loosen the center nut and after removing the lines and linkage from the pump and mounting nuts tap the center nut with a hammer and allow the pump to fall loose it is keywayed to the hub that is bolted to the gear that i told you DO NOT REMOVE ..the 3 outside bolts ...simple
 
I do not have the spec.'s for a combine maybe Pete or Owen will get on here as they my have the timing spec.'s . It is not hard to get them timed IF ya got the spec.'s Or just call your nearest dealer and ASK .
