1896 tractor

My brother in law has 1896 case IH warning buzzer goes off in cab and tractor stops moving. Engine runs fine, power steering and brakes OK, just no trans. any Ideas were to check ???

NOT real familiar with that tractor, IIRC, it's a partial powershift, but is the warning perhaps for low transmission pressure or HOT oil?

POSSIBLY an electrical problem, if actual oil pressure and temp are within a normal range?

(NOT sure how much electrical, if any is involved in shift control on that machine.)

Have you posted on the Case Board, as well because of the tractor's Case heritage?
