I'm rebuilding an F-12 and the pistons are Conformatic GE-50YS. Can someone tell me the size of the rings and where to get them?

You need to measure the bore and how thick are ALL of the are they the same thickness or are some thicker than others then you can get new ones

David, if those aren't the original pistons, you may have trouble finding rings for them. A couple of things you can do. One is to have the ring grooves turned to allow the rings you can find to fit. or, have custom rings made.

I do not recognize that make of piston, but who knows, might be very common.

My brother in law is in the process of rebuilding a F-12 and he asked me to locate piston rings and a couple sleeves. After doing some pricing we figured out that it was cheaper to buy a piston sleeve kit that included new rings and piston pins. I was able to find 6 different ring sets for the F-12. Piston size and width of rings is information that is needed to order the correct set of rings.

I had them measured for thickness, There are 2 compression rings that measure .093 or 2.4 mm and one oil ring that measures .18 or 4.59 mm. Does that help?

Dave, I changed your .180 measurement into 3/16 oil ring and the .093 to 3/32 compression rings. I need to know what is the bore of the engine. You could have a 3 inch or 3 1/8 (3.125) inch bore, you need to measure the inside Dia. of your sleeves. My e-mail is open. charlieu
