Original is 6 volt positive ground.After almost 60 years,any thing is possible....

One place to look is the coil, the wire going to the distributor is the ground wire. Pos ground will have the Pos wire from the coil going to the distributor, Neg ground will have the Neg coil wire going to the Dis. Of course there is nothing to prove what has been changed in the past as DeltaRed has said.
