Changing gear oil in 460

I just got a 460 and the trans oil looks like milk. The owners
manual calls for ten gallons of Hytran. When I drain it book
says three plugs. The manual is not very clear is this the
power steering too? Will there be any problems getting the
hydraulic system and power steering to prime itself? I know I
sound stupid but this tractor is new to me.

I have a 460 Hi utility, which is the same as the Farmall from from the engine back, except for the seat. The utility has the PS pump attached to the hydraulic pump, not sure about the Farmall. The PTO uses Hytran and has its own reservoir.

They usually prime easily if the levers and steering are moved through their cycles. If not put the front end about 18 inches lower than the rear. if still no joy, put 20PSI (NO more) in the fill plug and operate it. Jim

The three plugs are all down below there are three sumps with internal ports between them. Not all oil will drain from any one plug. Jim
