I am buying a farmall 450 with a narrow front end I was wondering if anybody could help me find or knows where I could find a single wheel front end that would fit it?? Would one from a farmall M fit??

If you are in California, Texas or the south, salvage yards in your area should have them.

A single front from an M thru a 1256 will fit.In the western states(irrigated areas) they are common.

Thank y"all so much for all your help! And I am in Virginia maybe some junk yards around here will have one? Do they handle better with the single tire??

No.The single is mainly for use in furrow irrigated ground. It fits/follows a water mark/furrow lots better than a tricicle type.Sugarbeets;onions;pinto beans;vegatables;etc... were the primary uses for the single front. These days now that most growers are on 30" rows instead of the old 22" row,the single is pretty much obsolete. The wide is now the norm.
