I've found this machine behind an old shed at my place. Wondering if someone can help me out with a little information about it? Sorry the pics are a little crude, and hard to see. Thanks for your help, DK

Grain binder used to cut standing grain putting it into bundles to shock for thrashing. Many parts are gone.

It is the remains of a grain binder, probably McCormick-Deering 4 or 4E tractor binder and has had pneumatic tyres. Not too much left but the knuckle at the front for the PTO drive is visible. It is interesting in that the main wheel was rubber but the transport wheels appear to be steel.

Do believe it's an IHC binder, with the pneumatic "bull" wheel and steel transport "trucks." I think I see hints of IHC cream colored paint, but then think I see some JD green paint too. There should be some castings that have either IH or JD cast into them. About 60 years ago I pulled one like that, an IHC, around a lot behind a JD model MT tractor. Dad sat in the seat of the binder and shouted a lot of driving advice to me, using lots of colorful adjectives I might add!

Thanks for your help guys. It's interesting the things you find sometimes. Does anyone have a picture of what this thing would look like in working condition by chance? Thanks

Agree that this is a grain binder, but question the thought that the bull wheel was once rubber tired. Note the flat surface of the wheel and the location of the bolts or rivets where the outer bands are attached. How would a tire bead fit on those?

its an old grain binder. those 2 wheels on the side are the trucks used to transport it. they are taken off when used to cut grain.

Power binder, castings appear IH. I've never seen a bull wheel quite like this, roller chain indicates a later model, transport trucks, as
I have seen were always steel. Three levers indicate IH, the tilt lever is missing. You have a parts machine that could be helpful to assist a restoration.
