IH 1086 hydraulic return lines

What I believe to be the return lines that go from the valves to the top of the rear end up under the cab are leaking. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to replaving these things? It looks like I need to remove the fuel tank and possibly lift the cab a bit which I'm really not looking forward to doing. Just wondering how others have gone about it. Thanx, Steve.

Taking the fuel tank off is not difficult and you don't need to raise the cab. You will have to do some squatting in between tire to get pipes off the aux valve end. If it doesn't have duals I pull the wheel to the end of the axle. Maybe even if it does have duals. Pulled many duals in my day as the farmer usually didn't care to do it before he brought it into the shop and our old building didn't have a wide enough door with both duals on. Might consider using hoses to replace the lines also but they have to be made just right.
