Draw bar receiver hitch

Wondering is anyone knows of some place that sells something like this for our older tractors. I know there are lots of options for those with a three-point hook up, but that does not apply in my case: this would be going on a SC and be used to move around some empty trailers...

Why not just put the ball in the hole in the drawbar?

If you had a U-shaped drawbar, you could use something like this:

Draw bar itself is not that wide - to get a 2 1/4 ball size hole would leave little meat on each side.

The swing part of the DB on the SC is right under the rear of the axle which means the pivot point would be right under the rear, cutting down on the ability to make tighter turns.

Thanks for the the ideas. Anyone else?

Mkirsch has the right idea. But I think what you are
looking for does not exist.Make your own or find a
good welder/fabricator

Most trailer stores sell a receiver hitch extender. It's a stinger that you use to mount a rear carrier or bike rack farther back on an SUV so you can open the rear door. I bet you could drill a hole or two in one and bolt it to your drawbar.

I reread uour post...I extended the drawbar on our
SC to pull a rake with.I bolted a 2' long 3/4x2
1/2 flat iron to the existing drawbar.ThenI
installed some diagonal supports. There are two
3/4" bolt holes at the top rear of the rear
housing.Bolt a strap from there down to about 6"
from the end of the extention.A little
'fabrication' will be required.'nother thing...You
mention a 2 5/16 ball,those are usually reserved
for the biggest/heaviest trailers.A SC is a small
tractor.Make sure the trailer is not too much for
the tractor to handle....

The only intended use for this is to move empty trailers. That is why I would like to have something with a receiver on it so the ball size could be changed with the pull of a pin.

Thanks for the help.

Go to a store (northern tool?) that sells hitches and towing
equipment. They will have 2x2 receiver tubes of varying
lengths. Get a longer one and drill two holes that match the
holes in the C drawbar. Place the holes so the bolts don't
interfere with inserting the hitch device. Then just bolt the
hitch receiver to the C drawbar. Probably best to use 3/4 inch
bolts. My experience with this, the C gets light on the front if
you have much of a load on your trailer. It will be OK for
moving empty trailers.

Exactly what I ended up doing. Friend across the road has a BA drill press we will use on Monday.

Weight will not be a problem if I mount the middle busters on the old SC...

Thanks

Got it - ended up at Tractor Supply. Bought their 12" receiver blank, 2 3/4 inch bolts and hardware.

Friend across the road has an industrial size drill press that we knocked two 3/4 inch holes in the tube. Tube fit perfectly over the draw bar and gave enough room for the hitch to slide in.

Thanks for the suggestions and help.

Good part is the ball will be right at the rear of the tires so turning radius is going to be pretty short...
