300U Hydraulics

I have added power steering to 300U and now find that fast hitch won't lift plow unless at full throttle. Is there a way to reduce the flow to the PS from the priority valve? Or did I do something wrong when I installed the PS? Is it possible that the hydraulic pump is weak?

The priority valve might be passing way too nuch oil. the valve controlling system pressure might be partially stuck due to dirt from the repairs (some is hard to avoid. If it was working well before, it should work well now. How is the priority plumbed in, Is it the original IH unit or ? Jim

It is an IH power steering system that came from a 350U and includes lines that go around to the fast hitch and remote control valves

Then, if nothing is stuck open, the pump could be weak. Pressure testing and making sure the screen in the reservoir under the seat is clean is next. Jim
