removing wear sleeve on H front wheel

rebuilding the front end. I was able to weld a bead on the inside of the front bearing cup. heating it up - it fell right out. Now on the back side, I did the same, but cup wont come out due to what I believe is the wear sleeve?

my question is can I weld a bead on the wear sleeve and it fall out hopefully?

I did put a couple small bottle touches to heat it, but it would not move.

Any ideas?

What you have is whats left of the seal it should some out with a punch then the race can be removed.

I believe what you are referring to is the wear sleeve that is in the hub that the seal (which is pressed on the spindle) wears against when hub is installed. I just collapse them around the outer edge with a dull tool.(like an old broken screwdriver).

Thanks - I wasn't sure how they were put in and didn't want to risk messing something else up.

Used a chisel, old screwdriver and some penetrating oil. Came right out.
