This might help, might not; IF the "M" is like the "H", you first loosen the locknut on the bottom of the brake housing, then tighten up the square-head screw til the brake band touches the brake drum, then loosen it down 3/4 turn or so. Tighten back up the locknut. Do both sides. Then you check to see how much free travel the brake pedal has to touch the tramsission case. You are looking for 1 1/2" free travel or so. Remove the cotter pin and the pin, and screw in/out / up/down the top clevis, until you get it right, reinstall pin and cotter pin. YOu have to have the brakes pull evenly at speed; go down the road with them latched together, put on brakes, and she should pull straight ahead, NOT right or left. Readjust as necessary. THis is the "H" procedure, and by golly, it might work on the "M" too.
