Don't think there's enough room to get the throttle shaft out next to the block. Shutoff shaft, no problem. May be better to reseal the whole pump anyway as weight retainer may be failing, causing leaks and governor trouble too. Last one I just worked on the weight pins were almost broken off. When that happens they get expensive real fast.

Thanks Dieseltech is that a job I can do myself or is it something needed to be done by an expert. I read about timing the pump, will I have to do this also? And can i buy a kit for it?

That shaft is in two parts half out one side and the other out the other side.Take top cap off pump 3 bolts.Needle nose plier and take the c clips off the shaft and pull out two directions.

well finally got around to tearing the roosa master accelerator out trying to install new o rings and washers. took out the Allen screw and wiggled it a bit and part of it came off in my hand. don't think it's suppose to come apart there. i took some pictures of it. tell me I'm not screwed and don't yell please.
