560 pto problems

I snapped off the 540 pto shaft on my 560 diesel yesterday. It is the clutch style pto. All the used ptos I can find are the planetary style. I found a complete used one for a 340 utility. my question is would the complete unit fit the 560 and or would the pto shaft from the unit fit my 560 pto unit?

I believe the transmission gears are different between the two, requiring major effort and a split. The housings on the smaller tractor look the same, but the capacity is different. Check the part numbers on the shaft question.

I have a complete unit. 300.00 call me .920/737/2221. if you find a 460, just remove the spacer off the casting it's about 4"thich.
