Quite awhile ago I asked some questions about running fuel lines to the 1 gallon starter tank. I want to connect it as an auxiliary gasoline tank. I purchased a dual fuel sediment bowl, and the line from starter tank to bowl, along with line from bowl to carb. I finally got around to hooking it up last night and ran into a snag.
Imagine you were sitting on the tractor looking down at the sediment bowl connected to the large fuel tank. The fuel turn off valve being at the 6 o'clock position. The line from the starter tank reaches the bowl at the 3 o'clock position, and the line from the carb reaches the bowl at the 12 o'clock position. I need a dual fuel sediment bowl with connections at 12 o'clock & 3 o'clock.
The dual fuel bowls for sale from Steiners, OEM, and a couple other sites I found only have bowls with connections at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions. I am attaching a photo of the bowl for sale. I am also attaching a photo posted quite awhile ago, I assume from a CASE-IH parts site, that does show an original diagram of a bowl with 12 & 3 position connections.
Anyone know where I can get one of these?
I did see fine print on one web site saying for the current bowl would work for "earlier tractors" if you purchased a 90 degree elbow which they do not provide. Unless anyone has any suggestions, I'll stop at Home Depot tonight and start my search for a 90 degree elbow to transition my bowl's 9 o'clock connector to the 12 o'clock position. Hope you can picture this and that it wasn't too hard to follow!
Thanks
