On 8-9-13 I posted asking for assistance on a 76 Cub. Had been parked for almost 10 yrs. and I had gotten the motor running but could not shift it into gear.

You all gave me good advice. Had never worked on an IH cub, but this what I did.

- split the tractor and took off the throw-out bearing, pressure plate, and clutch.
- took throw-out bearing apart, cleaned, oil/greased it and put it back in. (Had never be greased).
- used light steel wool and cleaned all "clutch" related surfaces.
- reset release fingers on pressure plate to 1 1/4 in. as you suggested.
- set pedal "play" to 1 in.

Did not replace any parts, only cleaned, retighten, and greased/oiled some parts. NOW IT WORKS AND SHIFTS GREAT!!!!

The diagrams and the detail, clear instructions were of great help. Thanks again. David
