Farmall 706 brakes

My 706 does not have much brake unless I pump them two or three time when running and need to stop. Why is this? How can I fix this? Any ideas?

Actually does no good to pump the brakes, just hold the pedal down and it will force the fluid into brake piston. You have one of two things going on. Either full of air as the brake is a dead end street and needs to be bled to get air out, or more likely, the self adjusters are shot, brakes worn and the pistons just have to move a greater than normal distance to engage. To bleed, put a hose on bleeder, run hose back into filler, run engine and hold that pedal down with bleeder open.
