Do you have charge a magneto to get the right amount of spark,if so how do you do that I was told you have to but I want to know for sure

whats it doing now? yes when the magnet gets weak but that don't happen that often. make sure the points and condenser is good and set at correct gap and they are pretty much a trouble free thing.you can have dirty point contacts and get a poor spark so hard to say from your question.

The H4 magneto uses an Alnico magnet that usually does not need to be charged. I would check other components first, as suggested: Point, condenser, coil, and wires.

Rub your points with 320 wet or dry until they're shiny. Then hold a plug wire about 1/4" away from the sparkplug while a helper makes an attempt to start the engine. Also make sure the impulse is snapping. Make sure the kill switch is in the run position. Hal

Spark is weak but starts really well but sounds like it is missing on one cylinder but unhook plug wires sounds the same so maybe something is wrong with the carburetor

You can enrich the fuel mixture by opening the main jet adjusting screw if the engine appears to be running lean. Hal
