Ain't nothin' wrong with them Olivers... had a S-55 and it was a great little tractor, ahead of it's time in some ways. If it had a loader and PS, I'd probably still have it instead of the 240U... better tractor by far, even though it was 3 years older.

My late Father in Law had a farm 20 years or so ago north of LaBelle. He also had an 1850 Ollie and a 1050 Moline...wonder if it"s the same tractor?? He sold it at auction years ago..it was a good tractor...Cmore

I leased an 1850 diesel one year to finish getting the corn & beans in some lease property that came my way late one year.
Used my JD 4020 powershift for the hired help.
Took a bit of getting used to after spending so much time on the 4020, but I would have to be honest & say that tractor really surprised me. If the dealer had haggled a bit on the price back then, I probably would have bought it.
