So, I measured and cut the cotton web strapping for around the gas tank on the F-30 tonight. I bought a large roll of it off Gordon Rice a few years back.
Anyway, the ends fray a bit, as I had used it on my F-12 when I did the tank. Well, it dawned on me, that I have some of the rubber base coating (Plasti-Dip) to put soft grips on pliers, etc. I have it in white, so I thought I would dip the ends of the strapping into it. Just did the last 1/2" - 3/4" of it. It is currently drying. Should keep the ends from fraying, it is white, and should be thin enough not to be "in the way"
Thought I would share. I tried to get a picture of it, but the dang camera wouldn't focus right. will try again tomorrow with a different camera.
