belly mower for IH 184

I saw some photos of a "79 model IH 184 lo boy with a 5" belly mower (painted white).

Anyone know who made the belly mowers or was this an IH built implement?

I have a 1977 model 184 and it has a white IH built 60 inch midmount mower. They do a very good job mowing. Joe

Woods, Danco, and IH made mowers for the numbered series Cubs. There may be others as well.

Thanks for the info. on that. Do you happen to know if the IH belly mower could fit another make of tractor?

I have an Allis Chalmers B that I want to put a mower on. I could use a 5' but if there is a 4' mower that would fit my application better.

The model numbers that I can recall are 3160 & 3260 were IH made for the 184/185 Cub

There were/are 48" and 60" mowers for the Cub in many different manufacturers. Getting one to fit on another make tractor is possible with different brackets, mounts and pulleys.
Only limitation is your fabrications skills.

Thanks again men, I appreciate the info.

I had checked with Woods a while back & was told
they had only a 42" & a 60" that would fit an A/C
model B. Just so happens that a 48" is ideal for my
situation.
