IH 2504 headlight switch question

I know this is probably a dumb question but I replaced the bogus headlight switch with a factory original type. It has 5 terminals on the back: Bat (battery), Inst (instrument lamps), HL (headlamps), and RL and TL. What are the RL and TL terminals?

Rear lamp and Tail lamp? What's the difference?

Rear lamp should be a light to illuminate behind you for field work and tail lamp should be a red light for road travel (unless I got them backwards

).

Originally, the sealed beam lamp for the rear light was red on the backside. There was a small, clear miniature lamp that acted as a taillight and illuminated through the backside of the sealed beam to give a red taillight for road travel.
