super h plugs

I run Autolite 3116 plugs gapped at .030" without electronic ign. On the 560 with electronic ign I run either .035 or .040" can't remember off hand.

With alldue respect to George and the Book, it depends on what you are going to use it for in my opinion. For my non-hard working Farmalls I have had best results with Champion D 21.

My experience: Champion D-17 if worked hard; D-21 if used only lightly (show/parade, etc). Autolite and A/C equivalents work fine too.

With electronic ignition and a matching coil you can gap as high a 0.035 - 0.040. HOWEVER the cap and wires must be in good condition and kept clean. Otherwise it'll be prone to misfire under damp conditions.

Well ya hear all about what plugs are the best from everybody . i only work on Farmall tractors and i have played the plug game for years . So here is my take on this . I will never use a Champion plug in nothing either the Auto Lite or Motor Craft or the A/C . If ya have to use a Champion D21 plug then son you got problems your Tonka toy needs fixed and it is not tuned properly. I have had the best luck with a C-86 A/C next the Auto Lites or Motor Crafts. in tractors . When Auto Lite was part of Ford way back we had the best luck with them on the drag strip . use to use them in the Mo pars and drop two tenths just by switching from Champions to the Auto Lites But for some reason the A/C's seem to work best in Farmalls
