F-12 Valves (Exhaust Diff. than Intake?)

Dear F-series officianados!

It appears to me that there is no difference in the exhaust and intake valves on the F-12. I bought "a set" of 8 NOS valves from a guy, and to my eyes, they are all the exact same size and have the exact same part number.

Then I pulled the old valves off an F-12 head (with a hole in it, presumably from freezing), and they also seemed all exactly the same and had the same part number.

The reason I ask is because I took the head (minus the valves) in to a maching shop (an hour away from me) to have new valve seats put in, and he said something about needing "both valves". I forgot to bring my new NOS valves with me. I am thinking he was assuming the intake and exhaust valves were different sizes. So, I am shipping him my valve assemblies, and want to indicate to him that there is no difference in the exhaust and intake valves in an F-12 if that is, in fact true.

So I was hoping someone could confirm this. Also, I assume both the exhaust and intake valves are ground at the same angle, right?

Thanks for your help,

Tony

From the IHC parts book for the f12, it lists:

24531 DA exhaust and intake valve (will work for 24532D) (53072 D will work).

24532D intake valve (order 24531DA)

53072 D exhaust valve (special) (will work for 24531 DA)

I always bought (8) of the same valve.
