IH 184 Missing When it is Hot

I have an IH 184 with a Woods mower that I use to mow my lawn. It runs great for about an hour until it gets good and hot and then it starts missing pretty bad. If I let it cool down, it is fine.

The coil felt pretty hot, so I changed it out, but it is doing the same thing.

I have heard that a bad condenser will have the same symptoms.

What do you all say? What are the symptoms of a bad condenser?

I mow with IH 184 tractors as well. When the flathead engines get hot they tend to develop a miss in the valve train. Be sure that your fan belt is tight, and keep the radiator air ways clean of debris and dirt. I blow compressed air through the radiator fins at least 2x per season. That generally keeps the engine temp down enough that my tractors (3 184 tractors) do not miss when under load on hot days. --Lee
