IH 766 serial number

Have a IH 766 with serial #2490187U015074*. Anyone know what year this would be???

The part after the U is the serial number.

You can use the "Serial Numbers" link on the left of this page to look up serial numbers yourself in the future.

In this case it appears that the tractor is a 1972 model.

15074 is 1975.

Go under Tractor Data it usally has most all makes and models the bad part it don't serial #s for the 766 I wonder why?

For the 700 series: (706, 756, 766, etc.)

It's an oddball. The rest are under "International and Farmall"

Sorry about the wrong serial number earlier. For some reason I had "1066" on the brain when I looked up the serial number!!!
