966 hydraulic filter with metal chunk

Changed the hyd filter on my 966 the other day. Everything went well, as i changed both o-rings and new gasket on the cover plate. However I did find a small piece of metal laying in the filter housing. It is small and round, almost like an inner piece of a small bearing or something, but it is broke in half and fell off of a shaft. Any ideas? I am at a loss. The tractor seems to drive decient. Metal in a hydralic system is never good...Several years ago I found chunks in my 706 filter.Still running,nothing since.Later When I replaced the hydralic pump in the 1256,I found a bolt in the bottom of the case.Again.nothing.....Dont worry about your tractor.Run it till you hear/find evidence of problems/damage.I sure would't spend time/money tearing it down to search for a "what if".Good luck.Hopefully it' nothing. Sounds like a broken detent roller from the speed transmission shifter cams.
