Farmall A Serial Numbers Location

I have a friend that has a Farmall "A" for sale. I can"t seem to find the serial number on it. Where is the tag located on a Farmall A? The engine number is: FAA99866. Will this tell me the year of the tractor? Thanks for any responses!

Serial number is located on seat bracket on inside left bracket. If that number came frm the engine just under the # 1 plug, it should be a 1945 model.

Engine and chassis serial are the same through 201000 provided that is the original engine.

Hi...The farmall A has a raised flat plate stamped with the serial number just behind the coil magneto on the front upper right hand side of the block.

Tag on some As was on the pedal pivot cover. Usually long gone from the tractor.
