I have a broken actuating spring on my 560 that i am assuming is the culprit for the brake holding up issue I had. Any advice on changing this out? The I & T manual i have doesnt have much on it. maybe it is pretty simple, but I havent done anything with brakes before. Thanks in advance.

They are fairly simple, each half of the center assembly is made so when the linkage is pulled they open or spread apart on the steel balls inside. The spring is just to return it to the home position. Use oil on the threaded adjustment so it doesn"t break and once the adjuster and the half moon ball are removed take the I think 5 bolts out from the housing. Lifting/pulling the housing out will bring the actuator out along with the brake pad which is on the splined shaft, the adjustment rod will need to be angled as you get it farther out.The inside pad towards the tractor will stay on the shaft.Don,t breathe the dust and wear gloves to keep it off of your hands. If there is oil on the pads it will stick also. Usually sticking is a sign of worn out pads.Lay it on a table and use a needle nose pliers to do the spring work.I may have forgotten some of it though so happy exploring. Hope this helps you.
