I have a 1940 H with a vertical distributor and the gears on the end of the distributor are worn out and all so the gears on the drive shaft are worn out and the gears are at a angle and all the parts I see on the internet are straight and look a bit different. Do they make the angled drive shaft gear"s for both pieces , or is there an alternative option to fix the distributor.

The verticle distributor drive was an aftermarket option. If you want to be truly correct, you need a straight shaft one. The 90 degree ones were used when an inline hydraulic pump was added. There may be other reasons I am not aware of, but that is one that comes to mind.

get a decent one, straight shaft, and put her back together.

That was a Delco-Remy you can replace with an I-H one if you dont have a live pump. Prestolite also made a replacement it is a straight one like the I-H.
