I"ve just done a complete distributor cap/rotor change, replaced plugs and wires, replaced fuel filter and gas, blown out fuel lines, sucked out any sediment in gas tank and it will run for a little while until it gets hot then chugs and sputters unless I stop and throttle the engine back.

Do you get a good flow for a few minutes from the carb if you pull the plug. This or one of the other ideas listed will almost certainly fix your problem.

I agree. Coil. When they get hot, the voltage output is reduced. It will have enough spark at low rpm to fire.. but will sputter and cut out at higher rpm.

Why? Other than burning you money up faster higher octane doesn't do anything for a low compression engine that only called for 91 RON and 87 (R+M)/2 when it was new and had full compression.
