Does anyone know where I can get a exploded schematic of a farmall H transmission I have to replace the front drive and 5th slider and have never bin in a h transmission. I went online an ordered a service manual GSS-5032 and it only has one small pic. top view of transmission very disappointing. thanks lee

It is super easy and really intuitive. Here is a link to my project. I replaced the 4/5th slider and all the seals/gaskets. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE SPINGS that hold the balls into the detents on the shift forks. That is why my 4/5th failed and 3 of the 6 were junk or close to junk.

Also, you can look at the parts books online (or could...there were some changes) Go to Messicks or to the CNH website and you can find them there.

I don't know where to find a diagram, but once you remove the deck everything is very apparent as to how it works. The H was the first transmission I went into and I was surprised by how simple it is. You will also need to pull the belly pump or have very flexible arms in order to remove the input shaft and the assembly on the front of the transmission.

The parts book consists of exploded diagrams. GSS 5032 shows a side view of the shift forks, can't tell much. Remove the top of the case and the rest is pretty self explanatory as far as the transmission goes.
