300 Utility missing out - stumped!!!

Need some advice - while plowing with my 2-bottom after an hour, it started missing out. First thing I thought was condenser. I changed points and condenser. It started again about a half an hour after plowing again. I then changed coil, new plugs, checked all wires (swapped out). I even changed gas filter.

Then when started ran great until you opened up the throttle then missed out. I bumped the timing a little and it then ran great.

I went back out and it ran great under load or when plowing, but when I lifted plow out of ground and no load, it would miss out. Did I advance timing too much or what???

Thanks for the help

If timing it fixed it to some degree, check the springs and mechanism in the centrifugal advance (under the breaker point plate in the distributor) If they are rusty or broken, the timing will be off (either at idle, or at full power. but incorrect at the other speed.) Fuel could be an issue. Over correcting the mixture could do it, but your timing change is leading me to think about the advance. Jim

Timing should be set a TDC with the engine not running.
Are you sure the carb isn't partially plugged or your filter dirty?
