Fix a flat in inner tubes?

I have a small leak on a rear wheel and was wondering if any one has tried fix a flat or slime on a inner tube? Thanks, Mark.

Takes more stuff the larger the tire. It does work just not really feasible for a large tire.

It won't work for a nail hole either. It's really only good for slow leaks that you can't find.

Don't waste your time or money. Break it down and fix the tube.

Tried it before and it is a joke at best. May work for a day or 2 but then back to the same problem. Break it down and fix it right and be sure to check for what caused it or you will be doing it again

Slime is made for small tubeless tires such as those on my riding lawn mower, and bicycle tires. Works well on my lawn mower.

They make two kinds of Slime. One kind for tubeless and one kind for tubed tires. I have had very good success with the kind for "tubed" tires. I use it mainly on tires that the beads, rims, or valve stem areas are questionable on being able to be broken down and remounted successfully without having to spend a lot of time or money on. Call me cheap, but sometimes there are certain projects that the profit margin is not there in order to break even. Then sometimes you have to get back to work and have to worry about fixing it right when it's raining and you're in the shop.

Slime does show a product for inside tube tires, not the same product as the tubeless tire slime.

I have not used the tube product.

Well first off it would take about 30 cans of fix a flat to even make a dent in a tractor rear, unless you're talking about something real small like a Cub. Not really practical.

If the tire is going flat overnight, or even over the course of a few days, you're wasting your time.

Slime does work, when used to solve the right problems. When the leak is really really slow, for example. People use it to try and fix bad punctures or large cracks, and it just isn't good for that.

Take it apart and fix it. If you ever fix a tire that has had slime in it you will never use it again. It is as it says, a slimy mess.
