Farmall H no spark

I have a farmall h I'm working on and can't get it to fire. The coil is good. The points on the distributer are open. But I'm not getting any spark at the point or plug. Any idea what could be the next guess.

Dirty points are likely suspect. Use a fine abrasive followed by chemical cleaner (lacquer thinner).

Thanks I will try that. I've also heard that the condenser could have gone bad. It hasn't ran in 15+ years.

I tried cleaning the points and still nothing. I might pull the condenser and see what happens. Any other suggestions. Thanks

Theres, of couse, PLENTY more suggestions in my Troubleshooting Procedure linked in my post below, but since you mentioned "pull the condensor" there are circumstances where that could tell you something.

If the condensor is shorted out that kills the spark totally, so if you "pull it" she will then spark, BUT THE SPARK WILL BE A WEAK SPARK REMEMBER.

Use a volt meter or test lite to see if you have battery voltage to your coil. With the points open and your ignition switch in the "on postion" you should have voltage on both terminals on your coil. Hal
