I have a TD340 that starts good but just stopped in the field many years ago. The engine clutch is good, but when you put it in gear it kills the engine. Before I open it up any thoughts? Any know problems to look into first? The gearshift goes through the gears, but could be stuck in two gears? I wasn't running it, this happened year ago.

Most likely in two gears, Take the shifter out and align the rails. Remaking the tip might also assist in keeping it shifting correctly. Jim
